Green Africa

For brands & EPR buyers

Your recovery claims, backed by something other than our word.

Green Africa produces recovery data that an auditor can verify without a site visit and without trusting the operator — because the records aren't ours to edit.

01 — The compliance problem

Reporting has outrun what collection chains can evidence.

Producer responsibility obligations are tightening across the continent, and the reporting expected under them has outrun what most collection chains can actually evidence. The typical recovery certificate is a document produced by the same party that was paid to do the recovery. It may well be accurate. It is not independently verifiable, and increasingly that distinction matters — to regulators, to auditors, and to anyone whose sustainability disclosures now sit under assurance.

Double counting is the specific risk. The same tonne, sold to two obligated parties, leaves no trace in a paper chain.

02 — What we give you

01

Point-of-recovery capture.

A record is created when the bottle is verified, at the machine — not reconstructed later from weighbridge tickets.

02

Independent verification.

Records go to a public ledger. You can query them yourself. We cannot retroactively change what's already there, and neither can anyone else.

03

Unit-level granularity.

Item counts, not just tonnage estimates. Material grade, location and timestamp on every record.

04

Reconciliation to physical material.

Deposit records tie through to baled tonnage leaving the hub, so the data and the material agree.

05

Attribution that can't be sold twice.

A recovery event belongs to one claim.

03 — How brands work with us

Sponsor a location

Fund machines at sites tied to where your product is consumed — campuses, gyms, retail forecourts, event venues. You get recovery attributed to your obligation and a visible presence where your customers are.

Buy verified recovery

Contract for volume against verified records rather than a certificate.

Run a takeback with real numbers

Campaign activity that reports itself, with data you can publish without hedging.

04 — Straight answers

We're pre-scale, and we say so. Deployment is underway now, with the first machines going into the ground and more in fabrication. If you need continental-scale tonnage today, we're not there. If you want to be early into a verification chain while it's still being designed around real obligations, that's exactly the conversation to have.

We don't sell offsets. We produce evidence of physical recovery. What you do with it under your regulatory framework is properly your call and your advisors'.

Verification has limits and we'll name them. The machine proves an empty PET bottle of a given weight was deposited at a given place and time. It does not prove the bottle was originally yours. Where attribution matters, we handle it through sited placement and contracted volume — and we'll tell you plainly which claims the data supports and which it doesn't.
